The University of Teacher Education of the Grisons offers training and further education for prospective and practising teachers - in German, Italian and Romansh. It is the only trilingual university in Switzerland’s education competition. Together with around 140 employees, it is committed to providing high-quality education and offers over 500 students excellent study conditions at Bachelor's and Master's level. In addition, it offers a wide range of further education courses and services.

The University of Teacher Education of the Grisons conducts research on current topics in the school environment. It focuses on issues in the areas of "Multilingualism", "School and Technology" and "School in the Alpine Region". The research questions are based on specific problems and look for opportunities for improvement and development.

The knowledge gained from research projects is incorporated into teaching, practice and the development of teaching materials. The University of Teacher Education of the Grisons has a total of three research professorships: 1) the special professorship for integrated multilingualism didactics with a focus on Romansh and Italian, 2) the professorship for educational sciences and 3) the professorship for mathematics didactics.
